New Safety and Hygiene Rules for 2021 Eurobike

Eurobike, an annual bike exhibition that attracts cyclists around the globe recently announced their 2021 guidelines. Due to health concerns brought upon by a worldwide epidemic, the 2020 Eurobike expo was cancelled. Nevertheless, the show must go on. However, returning supporters and enthusiasts will be expected to oblige by some new rules.

The event will ask attendees to keep a 1.5 meter distance apart. To ensure the appropriate length is kept, walkways and presentation areas will be held in a larger space than usual. In addition to social distancing, everyone must wear a facial mask.

Despite these new regulations, Eurobike show manager Stefan Reisinger "hopes to see the largest number of people back together.”Though Reisinger understands that with current hassles in travel plans and restrictions still present from the epidemic, this is not practical for the 2021 show.

Regardless of these new restrictions, the biking world has hardly come to a stop. German MP and economics expert Karl Lauterbach said that “it's going to be a super summer” with bike purchases continuing to boom. Though there are no market statistics for 2021 yet, Messe Friedrichshafen, operator of  Neue Messe Friedrichshafen exhibition center, sees promising figures. Friedrichshafen believes the new technology in e-bikes, which are trumping the preference of traditional stationary bicycles, are part of the uptake in sales.

Although Eurobike may not possess its usual crowds, this isn't expected to be a major setback. The exhibition will take place this coming fall from September 1st - 4th in  Friedrichshafen, Germany. Tickets for a single day can be purchased for 59,00 € online at Eurobike.com. Additional information regarding important guidelines can be found on the website as well.
