A Strategic Leap Toward Smart and Sustainable Global Manufacturing.

As global markets continue to shift at unprecedented speed, ASTRO TECH is stepping up to meet the challenge—by laying a solid foundation for its next-generation manufacturing capabilities. On June 10, 2025, the company officially broke ground on a new factory in Vietnam’s Phu Chanh Industrial Zone, marking a bold move in its international expansion journey. With mass production slated for Q4 of 2026, this strategic investment is not just about growing capacity—it’s about shaping a smarter and more sustainable future for the global bicycle industry.

A New Hub for Innovation

Spanning 68,000 square meters, the Vietnam factory is designed as a state-of-the-art production hub for aluminum bicycle frames, with an impressive annual output of 800,000 units. Backed by a USD 30 million investment, the project reflects ASTRO’s commitment to both performance and responsibility.

Of this investment, USD 20 million is dedicated to building an ESG-compliant facility that meets LEED green building standards, ensuring high energy efficiency and a minimized environmental footprint. An additional USD 10 million will power the installation of cutting-edge automation equipment, boosting overall production capacity and enhancing operational competitiveness on the global stage.

Smart Manufacturing in Action

At the heart of ASTRO’s Vietnam plant is a fully automated smart production system, seamlessly integrating MES (Manufacturing Execution System), QCS (Quality Control System), and AI-driven technologies. The result is a digitized, energy-efficient, and highly flexible manufacturing process—one that not only shortens lead times and elevates quality, but also delivers the agility needed in today’s fast-evolving mobility market.

Modular Thinking, Premium Results

ASTRO is also raising the bar on design and technical integration. The new facility will feature a modular frame design platform engineered for compatibility with global e-bike system leaders like Bosch, Shimano, and Yamaha. Coupled with an integrated aluminum alloy manufacturing process and high-efficiency coating technologies, ASTRO aims to improve structural performance, finish quality, and production cost-efficiency—all while maintaining rapid development timelines.

Building Sustainability into the Core

More than just a manufacturer, ASTRO is a committed steward of sustainability. From the factory’s LEED-compliant design to production processes aligned with ISO 14064-1 (greenhouse gas inventory) and ISO 14067 (carbon footprint) standards, the company is proactively supporting carbon reduction, energy conservation, and the principles of a circular economy. These initiatives aren’t just checkboxes—they are cornerstones of ASTRO’s long-term ESG strategy.

Shaping the Future, Together

With over 30 years of industry expertise, ASTRO TECH continues to push forward with a mindset of continuous innovation. This new Vietnamese base marks a critical milestone in its evolution—from a trusted supplier to a global solutions partner dedicated to smart, agile, and sustainable manufacturing.

As ASTRO sets its sights on Europe and beyond, the company invites industry partners and mobility innovators to join the journey. ASTRO will be exhibiting at Eurobike 2025 at Hall 8, Booth H08. Industry professionals are warmly invited to visit the booth for exchanges and potential partnership opportunities.
