Taipei Cycle Opens Registration for 2022 Show

Taipei Cycle, one of the world's leading trade cycling exhibitions and shows, is coming back in March 2022, after a two-year hiatus. Due to the epidemic of the Coronavirus in 2020, the show was rescheduled for the following year. And, in 2021 when Taiwan experienced a sudden outbreak in cases, the show was rescheduled a second time. However, as more and more people continue to get vaccinated and traveling begins to open up once again, the show is expected to be held in 2022.

The March 2022 show is the tenth anniversary and will have an awards ceremony implemented by the CHC, or Cycling and Health Tech Industry R&D Center. Taipei Cycle says they hope that because of their long-term commitment to the industry along with their experience of organizing the International Bicycle Design Competition, or IBDC, for twenty-four years that they will be able to further strengthen the connections between TAIPEI CYCLE d&i awards through the CHC. They also hope that, because of this connection, more entrants will be encouraged to attend and submit their work to the competition.

Additionally, the show announced that due to the international policies that have begun to take shape as of recently, the competition categories will be slightly modified for next year's show. For example, the “Smart Cycling” and “Green Design” have both been changed and upgraded in the hopes that more smart and green product designs will be submitted for the competition, in turn promoting various ranges in bicycle designs.

The registration for the 2022 show is now open. Benefits for winners include receiving the Taipei Cycle d&i awards 2022 logo along with the permission of using it for commercial purposes. Furthermore, top contributors will be awarded an additional Taipei Cycle gold award logo. All winners will also be invited to receive certificates or trophies on stage at the award ceremony, which will also take place prior to the Taipei Cycle show. The exhibition will include all award-winning entries that will be showcased on-site. Lastly, an online exhibition will take place simultaneously, along with a demonstration of the award-winning entries featured at the virtual show and on the official TBA website.

Registration for applications is currently open from now until December 30th, 2021. The deadline for entry delivery is January 3rd to 12th, 2022. The jury session will take place from January 20th to the 21st, and the award ceremony will take place on March 8th. Following the awards ceremony, the exhibition will be held from March 9th to 12th, 2022 in Taiwan's capital city, Taipei.
