Gogoro Set to Launch E-Bikes

Leading Taiwanese e-scooter manufacturer, Gogoro has teased information on its Instagram and Twitter accounts that it plans to launch an e-bike range. According to the posts, the e-bike, called Eeyo, will be debuted in the US market during May, with further launches in Taiwan and Europe planned for the summer.
Found by former HTC employees, Horace Luke and Matt Taylor, Gogoro launched its first electric scooter in Taiwan in 2015. Since then, the company's scooters have rapidly gained popularity around the island and are currently the most popular make of electric scooter.

Gogoro is synonymous with its unique method of providing power. Rather than recharging batteries by themselves or using a recharging station, Gogoro riders must exchange their depleted battery for a fully charged one at a proprietary battery station. Numerous Gogoro battery stations can be found at gas stations, convenience stores and other retail outlets around Taiwan.
Although details about the e-bike are not currently available, Gogoro has previous experience in cooperating with Bosch and also licenses its technology to other companies such as Yamaha and Aeon.
