Messingschlager Announces Executive Management Restructuring

Christoph Bantle and Toni Messingschlager Appointed to Lead Company, Dennis Schömburg Departs

Messingschlager GmbH & Co. KG, a leading European supplier and importer of bicycle components, has announced a strategic leadership realignment to sharpen its focus on the evolving needs of bicycle manufacturers and wholesalers.

Effective immediately, Christoph Bantle and Toni Messingschlager have been appointed to the company’s executive management. The move marks a new chapter in Messingschlager’s development, aimed at strengthening its market-driven sales approach, expanding its product portfolio, and streamlining internal operations—all while maintaining its commitment to high quality and competitive pricing.

Christoph Bantle joined Messingschlager in September 2024 and brings significant industry expertise. Notably, he played a key role at Brose from 2012 to 2017, where he led the development and market launch of its e-bike drive system. His background in technology and process optimization will be instrumental in driving Messingschlager’s strategic evolution.

Toni Messingschlager, who joined the company in 2018 and has served in senior management since 2021, now represents the fourth generation of the founding family to assume an executive role. His appointment underscores the company's commitment to continuity and its roots as a family-owned business.

As part of this transition, Dennis Schömburg, long-serving Managing Director, is stepping down due to differing views within the shareholder group regarding the company’s future direction. The company expresses its sincere thanks to Mr. Schömburg for his valuable contributions and leadership over the years.

With this new management structure, Messingschlager is well-positioned to navigate the challenges of a dynamic market and to continue serving as a trusted partner to the bicycle industry.
