Wheeltop Targets Time Trial and Expands ROTOR’s Range

Time Trial EDS System In The Works

Looking ahead for the next year and even 2027, Kevin Yen, Wheeltop Sales Manager, said, “Our focus on the future in particular is our EDS system; we just announced new products for time trial bikes. Before, we supplied road, MTB, gravel, and e-bike parts, but we’ll announce time trial products for next year.”

WheelTop's current factory setup involves established manufacturing bases in Lanxi and Tianjin, China, as well as a location in Morocco. The company, which acquired a majority stake in the Spanish brand Rotor in October 2024, is committed to building an advanced "intelligent future factory" to significantly increase production, integrating new materials and cutting-edge technologies to create “intelligent and high-performance products”.

The Rotor acquisition strategically enhanced WheelTop's global presence by providing access to new markets and incorporating Rotor's expertise in cranks and power meters.

Wheeltop recently announced another new factory had been built that will focus on producing lite-carbon cranks. They just brought a new carbon crank to Taichung Bike Week for the first time. They’re also going to start producing bike hubs for all levels of bicycle and e-bike riders.

New Rotor Products

We have a new INspider power meter that we produce at our China HQ coming soon.” INspider is distributed through ROTOR in Spain. ”We need to be low cost for competitiveness,” he said of their strategy. “Many samples of the new version have been sent out to UCI teams already for their feedback,” Mr. Yen also added.

Their new power meter will have many advantages, including price and performance. They look to announce more soon but are currently deep in the testing process.

Accompanying their power meters is the ROTOR Aero MAS Spider 110x4 1x/2x that has been engineered to provide minimal air resistance and reduce drag, allowing riders to pedal faster with less effort, making it suitable for road, triathlon, cyclocross, and track riding.

It is compatible with ROTOR’s ALDHU and VEGAST road modular cranks and the 2INpower and INpower power meters.
