European Cycling Industries (ECI) officially launched in Brussels, unveiling a new logo and visual identity following the merger of the Confederation of the European Bicycle Industry (CONEBI) and Cycling Industries Europe (CIE). The new organisation brings the European cycling industry together under a single, unified voice.
The event marked ECI’s first public appearance as the collective representative of Europe’s cycling sector. Building on decades of expertise in advocacy, industrial policy, and market development, ECI represents national industry associations and member companies, strengthening coordination and influence at EU level.
ECI’s new visual identity reflects its ambition to play a stronger role in shaping European cycling and industrial policy, while providing strategic leadership and inclusive engagement across the cycling ecosystem.
“Europe is changing the way it moves, and cycling is central to that transformation,” said Tony Grimaldi, President of European Cycling Industries. “By speaking with one voice, our industry is better positioned to secure the recognition, investment, and political momentum that cycling deserves.”
Paul Walsh, CEO of European Cycling Industries, added: “Europe has shaped cycling like no other region. ECI will help the sector maintain that leadership, foster collaboration and innovation, and show what it truly means to do cycling right.”
With its new identity in place, European Cycling Industries aims to deepen engagement with EU institutions and strengthen cycling’s role in Europe’s sustainable mobility and industrial future.
