Eurobike Award 2026 Highlights Innovation and Functionality

The 20th edition of the Eurobike Award has concluded in Frankfurt, where an international jury evaluated innovative products and solutions from the cycling and ecomobility sectors over two days at the creative venue “Massif Naïv.”

Recognized as one of the industry’s most prestigious awards, the Eurobike Award presented 22 prizes across seven categories. Outstanding entries received the Eurobike Award Gold, while additional honors included the Green Award and the Start-Up Award. Evaluation criteria covered innovation, functionality, design, workmanship, and sustainability.

Philipp Ferger, Managing Director of fairnamic, emphasized that the award is evolving beyond a product competition into a platform for ideas shaping the future of cycling and ecomobility. He highlighted the strong discussions and diverse perspectives shared during the jury sessions.

The jury also reflected the broad spectrum of urban mobility and cycling expertise. Designer and art director Nils Holger Moormann praised several entries for their strong combination of design, materials, and functionality, while mobility expert Andrea Reidl noted that many products addressed growing demands for urban mobility, accessibility, and sustainability.

According to jury member Jessie Ridler from Minimal, the Eurobike Award also provides valuable international exposure for start-ups and smaller companies seeking recognition for their innovations.

One notable takeaway from this year’s deliberations was the jury’s appreciation for “normal” bicycles that simply work well without relying on extreme performance claims. During the discussions, the phrase “It’s just a bicycle” became a form of genuine praise for products focused on practicality and usability.

The winners of the 2026 Eurobike Award will be officially announced during the opening day of Eurobike 2026, taking place June 24–27 at Messe Frankfurt.
