The General Assembly of CONEBI, held on 22 May 2024 in Istanbul, was marked by a solemn tribute to Erhard Büchel and Moreno Fioravanti, whose leadership and friendship will be greatly missed.

In significant leadership changes, Massimo Panzeri, CEO of Atala, was appointed as the new President and Chair of the Board. Panzeri emphasized continuing Büchel's legacy and working closely with the EU on legislative and technical matters to support the green market.

Sylvain Lemenand, from Decathlon, was elected as a new Board member, succeeding Didier Morelle. Lemenand expressed gratitude to CONEBI’s French association Union Sport & Cycle for endorsing his candidacy and committed to advancing the bicycle industry’s key initiatives.

Board members Pedro Araujo and Bayram Akgul praised the new appointments, highlighting Panzeri and Lemenand’s extensive experience and dedication to the bicycle sector. CONEBI General Manager Manuel Marsilio also welcomed the new leadership, looking forward to collaborative efforts to drive positive change in the industry.
