A range of new components, safety products and e-bike technologies were showcased at Taichung Bike Week, covering suspension, drivetrains, smart accessories and modular electric-assist solutions.

RST Mass Damper Improves Small-Bump Absorption

RST unveiled a magnetic mass damper designed to absorb high-frequency vibrations that conventional suspension forks may not activate for. The system helps reduce hand and wrist fatigue while improving ride comfort.

It can be fitted to suspension forks or adapted for rigid-fork road and gravel bikes through the brake mount, head tube or stem area. It is also compatible with forks featuring Bosch ABS mounting points and is available in black, blue, gold and purple.

RST Introduces Third-Generation Suspension Stem

RST’s third-generation suspension stem is designed for gravel and urban bikes. New lockout and damping-adjustment functions allow riders to quickly switch settings for climbing, sprinting or rough surfaces.

Weighing approximately 400 g, the system provides suspension performance while preserving a clean gravel-bike profile. It is available for both OEM installation and aftermarket upgrades.

RIDEA Develops Chain-Retention Oversized Pulley System

RIDEA presented its Taipei Cycle d&i award-winning 18T/12T oversized pulley system. The carbon-composite pulleys feature a narrow-wide tooth profile, full-ceramic bearings and a dimpled aerodynamic surface designed to reduce drag and crosswind disturbance.

A patented chain-retention shield keeps the chain on its intended path, addressing the risk of inward chain drops during shifting.

LU-KO Expands Suspension Range with 32-Inch Forks

LU-KO showcased new single-leg suspension systems and 32-inch suspension forks in both conventional and inverted configurations. The inverted design provides greater flexibility around the crown and accommodates a wider range of high-volume tyres.

Its single-leg e-bike fork uses a high-rigidity welded structure, while the gravel version adopts a lighter one-piece construction.

Selle Italia Showcases SLR Off-Road Saddles

Selle Italia introduced its new SLR Off-Road range featuring the Bow Rail System. Its rear-mounted rail design increases shell flexibility, helping reduce pressure on the sit bones and perineal area while improving vibration absorption on rough terrain.

A removable protective insert prevents mud and water from passing through the saddle cut-out. The range includes Advan, Elite and Carbon versions, all measuring 145 × 242 mm.

Tubolito Presents Tubo-Road SYNCD Smart Inner Tube

The Tubo-Road SYNCD incorporates a battery-powered Bluetooth pressure sensor for real-time tyre-pressure monitoring via Garmin, Android and iOS devices. Riders can set upper and lower pressure limits and receive alerts following a puncture or sudden pressure loss.

According to Tubolito, SYNCD is currently available only for the Tubo-Road platform.

RiLAX Launches NTA 8776-Certified Smart Helmet

RiLAX unveiled a smart helmet combining group communication, crash detection and touch controls. Its Bluetooth intercom supports up to eight riders over a maximum distance of 2,000 metres without requiring a mobile network.

If the helmet detects a fall and the rider does not respond within 15 seconds, the connected app automatically sends an emergency alert. The helmet is certified to the NTA 8776 standard for speed pedelecs operating at up to 45 km/h.

Darfon Offers Modular E-Bike Battery Platform

Darfon Electronics displayed 800Wh and compact 200Wh e-bike batteries that can be combined to provide up to 1kWh of capacity.

A standardised housing and frame interface allows bike manufacturers to offer different battery capacities without redesigning the frame. Darfon also provides customised development services and solutions compliant with relevant safety, certification and international transport requirements.

ZEIT Expands Brake Pad Options

ZEIT presented a broad range of bicycle brake pads using different friction materials. Its rim-brake products are divided into road and mountain-bike applications, giving manufacturers and customers options for different braking systems and performance requirements.

The company emphasises consistent materials, manufacturing processes and product quality across the range.

ZENO Q-Connector V2 Simplifies Hydraulic Hose Removal

ZENO Cycle Parts showcased the Q-Connector V2 detachable hydraulic hose coupling. The system can be disconnected by twisting, eliminating the need to cut the hose during servicing, transport or component replacement.

Both ends remain sealed after separation. Available options include replacement sets with hoses, workshop tool kits and consumer-oriented DIY kits for different braking systems.

GTMRK Introduces ELEVO PLUS Electronic Dropper Post

GTMRK presented the ELEVO PLUS electronically controlled dropper post. An adjustable air valve at the bottom of the post allows users to modify air pressure and control its extension speed.

The company also displayed the new SP-05 and SP-06 saddle clamps, both designed for quick saddle installation and removal. The SP-06 additionally allows fore-and-aft tilt adjustment.

SR SUNTOUR Unveils 32-Inch RAIDON34 and XCR34 Forks

SR SUNTOUR presented several new suspension forks, including the Bosch ABS-compatible AION 36 and two models developed for 32-inch wheels: RAIDON34 and XCR34.

The RAIDON34 uses aluminium stanchions, while the XCR34 features black-finished steel stanchions. Both are equipped with 15 × 110 mm thru-axles.

WHEELTOP Presents EDS GEX Gravel Electronic Groupset

WHEELTOP introduced the EDS GEX electronic gravel groupset, designed to deliver responsive, lightweight and smooth shifting.

The company also displayed cranksets, chainrings and cassettes from its extensive drivetrain portfolio. Its vertically integrated production covers processes from raw materials to finished components, including carbon-fibre crank manufacturing.

TAKE-E Launches OctaLoop E-Bike Conversion System

CT Green Tech introduced the TAKE-E OctaLoop conversion system, integrating the battery, Bluetooth module and controller. Its bidirectional charging function also allows the battery to serve as a portable power bank.

Battery options include 144Wh, 360Wh and 480Wh. The 144Wh version is designed to meet airline carry-on requirements, while testing indicated ranges of around 44 km for the 144Wh battery and nearly 100 km for the 360Wh version. A companion app displays speed, power, mileage, motor and battery data.
