PeopleForBikes Launches Data Suite for Bicycle Industry Market Insights

PeopleForBikes, the U.S. bicycle industry’s trade and advocacy organization, announced the launch of PeopleForBikes Data Suite on October 8, 2026. The industry-driven market intelligence platform is designed to help retailers, brands and suppliers better understand sales performance, market trends and demand.

The Data Suite combines sales and inventory data from across the bicycle industry, providing insights into retail sell-through, category performance, pricing, forecasting and market risk. The information is intended to support inventory management, investment planning and business decision-making.

Jenn Dice, president and CEO of PeopleForBikes, said the industry’s existing data has often been incomplete and outdated. The organization aims to improve the completeness and timeliness of industry data, helping businesses better understand market developments and making the industry more responsive, resilient and competitive.

PeopleForBikes said it will continue expanding the platform’s data coverage by incorporating information from businesses of different sizes and regions. The goal is to provide a more comprehensive picture of the U.S. bicycle market and shorten the time between market activity and access to actionable insights.

According to the official website, the platform covers categories including e-bikes, mountain bikes, road bikes, gravel bikes, accessories and services. Its capabilities include category performance analysis, SKU-level inventory data, regional benchmarking, seasonality trends, direct-to-consumer (DTC) insights, interactive dashboards and API access. Some advanced dashboards, syndicated reports and API features are available as premium add-ons.

Retailers that contribute sales data receive free access to the platform. PeopleForBikes corporate members can access the platform and obtain member-preferred pricing on premium dashboards and reports. The organization is currently inviting corporate members to participate in early access and beta testing, with the full platform scheduled to launch in early 2027.
