CycleExpo 2027 Confirmed for October in Amsterdam

CycleExpo 2027 will take place from 6 to 8 October 2027 at Expo Greater Amsterdam, following a final go-ahead from organiser NieuwsFiets Media & Events.

The organiser set 1 October 2026 as the decision deadline because the venue hall bookings could be cancelled free of charge until that date. Although the event had not yet reached its break-even target, Rick Hackmann said the remaining financial gap was manageable enough to proceed. He also cited positive feedback received over the previous months on the plan to establish a dedicated meeting point near Amsterdam for the OEM business of the international bicycle industry.

At the time of the decision, almost 50 exhibitors had booked, representing more than one-third of the available exhibition floor. The organiser also reported a substantial number of outstanding leads from companies that had expressed serious interest in participating.

The first confirmed exhibitors include ABUS, Ananda, AXA, Bafang, Büchel, Busch + Müller, Comodule, CST/Scalato, Dapu, Elvedes, HEBIE, KMC, Marwi, Mivice, OEM Bikes, Panasonic, Satori, Schwalbe, Selle Monte Grappa, SKS, Universal Transmissions, URSUS, Velo, Wellgo and Zenith.

CycleExpo focuses specifically on the OEM segment of the international bicycle industry. According to Hackmann, the event will primarily serve as a purchasing platform for bicycle brands, which are encouraged to attend as visitors rather than exhibitors.

The exhibition will exclusively feature Full Service Stands. This format is intended to allow each company to establish its own brand identity while maintaining a degree of uniformity across the exhibition floor and keeping costs under control.

CycleExpo 2027 will take place amid changes in the European bicycle trade show landscape, including developments surrounding Eurobike and the new German trade show Towards Tomorrow, initiated by the Zweirad Industrie Verband (ZIV). Taichung Bike Week is also scheduled for the same dates as CycleExpo in 2027, leaving suppliers to consider their trade show options.

The organiser said feedback indicated that the Full Service Stand approach appealed to many component and accessory suppliers. Following the decision to proceed, it will step up preparations and continue developing plans to improve the experience for both exhibitors and visitors.
