Accell Suisse Enters Liquidation

Accell Group's Swiss subsidiary, Accell Suisse AG, has entered bankruptcy liquidation, with its remaining bicycle inventory and business assets scheduled for auction on November 16–17, 2026.

The Swiss company was declared bankrupt on August 18, marking another development in the ongoing restructuring of the Dutch bicycle group. According to German industry media, the auction includes 114 bicycle lots featuring brands such as Haibike, Winora, Lapierre, Ghost and Babboe. The inventory covers electric mountain bikes, urban e-bikes, trekking bicycles and cargo bikes. Most bicycles are reportedly new and remain in their original packaging, except for two Babboe demonstration models. An additional 317 lots of business assets, including workshop equipment, bicycle components and office furniture, will also be auctioned.

Accell Group, acquired by a KKR-led consortium in 2022, has faced financial pressure from excess inventory, debt and challenging market conditions. The liquidation of its Swiss subsidiary highlights the continuing impact of Europe's bicycle industry restructuring, raising concerns over distribution networks, inventory management and after-sales support.
