Thule has acquired Aeroe, a New Zealand-based company specializing in bikepacking bags, racks and accessories. Thule said Aeroe products are expected to be integrated into its product portfolio under the Thule brand in the second quarter of 2027.
Aeroe was founded by brothers Mike and Paddy Maguire approximately 12 years ago. Its first product was the Spider Rear Rack, which attaches to a bike’s seatstays and can be installed and removed without relying on existing frame mounting points.
Baptiste Chaussignand, Thule’s director of category management for bike products, said Aeroe’s system is a natural extension of Thule’s bike bag portfolio, offering additional options for mountain bike (MTB) and gravel riders.
Thule said the Aeroe product line will build on its existing Tour Rack range. The financial terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed.
