The Taiwan Bicycle Association (TBA) and the Taichung Industrial Development & Investment Promotion Committee announced after a coordination meeting on August 18 that the 2026 Taichung Bike Week (TBW) will take place from September 15 to September 18, 2026. The decision was made after listening to industry feedback and carefully reviewing Taiwan’s holiday calendar.
TBA Chairman Robert Wu emphasized that the association aims to set TBW as a fixed annual event in mid-to-late September, ensuring that international buyers can mark their calendars and make Taichung a must-visit every year. Given that Taiwan’s 2026 calendar includes several extended holidays—such as Mid-Autumn Festival and Teachers’ Day (September 25–28), National Day (October 9–11), and Retrocession Day (October 24–27)—the chosen dates are intended to give international visitors sufficient time for business meetings and factory visits, while also allowing exhibitors ample preparation time.

For more than 20 years, TBW has been hosted across multiple Taichung hotels, a format that many buyers and exhibitors have found inconvenient due to the need to shuttle between venues. This may soon change with the opening of the Taichung International Convention and Exhibition Center, scheduled for completion at the end of this year. The new world-class venue will feature 4,500 exhibition booths and multiple conference rooms, offering a far more centralized and professional setting for future TBWs.

At present, the final location for TBW 2026 remains undecided, as TBA continues discussions with industry players and consults with international buyers to determine the most suitable arrangement.
The Taichung International Exhibition Center is set to be completed and inaugurated by the end of this year.
