The Montaro Pro features an AURA Ring II polycarbonate roll cage designed to reinforce the helmet’s structural integrity. The helmet also incorporates full lower hardbody coverage for added durability. According to Giro, the combination of these technologies allows the Montaro Pro to meet the requirements of NTA-8776 E-Bike certification.
For impact management, the helmet uses Spherical Technology powered by Mips®. The system features a ball-and-socket design that allows the outer liner to rotate around the inner liner during an impact. Giro states that this design is intended to help redirect impact forces away from the brain.
The Montaro Pro also uses a Progressive Layering Nanobead EPS foam construction combined with an in-mold construction. Ventilation is provided by 23 WindTunnel vents with internal channeling, while the DryCore™ sweat management system browpad and Ionic+™ anti-microbial padding are designed to manage moisture and provide additional comfort.

The helmet is equipped with Giro’s Roc Loc® Trail Air fit system and a Fidlock® magnetic buckle. An integrated two-position visor provides adjustment and eyewear storage compatibility, while custom webbing dividers allow further adjustment of the helmet’s fit.
The Montaro Pro weighs 453 grams in size M and is available in S, M and L sizes. Giro lists the European price at €299.99, while the UK recommended retail price is £269.99.
