ASUS has introduced the Oxiis E250G1 Intelligent Bike Booster, an electric-assist system designed to add motor assistance to conventional bicycles. The unit combines a motor and removable battery in a single module mounted to the seat post. A roller contacts the rear tyre to provide assistance, without requiring changes to the bicycle’s wheels, gears or brakes.
The Oxiis E250G1 features a 250W-rated motor with up to 500W maximum output and Adaptive Boost Technology, which adjusts assistance according to the riding gradient. A wireless cadence sensor detects pedalling activity.

Three assistance modes — Eco, Normal and Sport — can be selected through the unit or the ASUS Oxiis app. The 158.4Wh removable battery provides up to approximately 50km of range in Eco mode.
The battery supports USB Type-C Power Delivery charging at up to 100W. A full charge takes approximately two hours. The complete Oxiis E250G1 unit weighs 3.7kg and is compatible with 16- to 29-inch tyres.
According to ASUS, the system can provide assistance up to 32km/h, while versions in some regions are limited to 25km/h. ASUS has not yet announced pricing or an official launch date.
