Giant Group reported a return to revenue growth in the second quarter of 2026, with consolidated revenue reaching NT$16.67 billion, up 5.8% year on year. Q2 net profit rose 234% to NT$630 million, while EPS reached NT$1.62.
For the first half of 2026, consolidated revenue was NT$29.19 billion, down 10.5% year on year, with net profit of NT$435 million and EPS of NT$1.11. Gross margin increased to 22.3% for the first half, compared with 19.1% a year earlier, while Q2 gross margin reached 24.2%.
Europe and China show improvement
Giant said European sales benefited from strong performance of new model-year bikes during the spring and summer season. The GIANT Propel aero road bike also recorded strong sales in the European market, particularly in Germany.
In China, the market returned to growth in Q2, with the company attributing the improvement to new product launches and the ongoing cycling trend. Demand for road bikes remained an important part of the market, while inventory of high-end carbon road bikes stood at around 3–4 months. The company said the shift in product mix affected average selling prices, which remained above 2021–2022 levels.
U.S. market remains affected by WRO
The U.S. market continued to face challenges from the Withhold Release Order (WRO) affecting Giant’s Taiwan operations. The company said the issue has affected the supply of new models and OEM orders, while consumer spending on discretionary products remained conservative amid external uncertainties.
Giant said corrective actions related to the WRO have been completed and a third-party report has been submitted. The company is awaiting a decision from U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
Cautiously optimistic outlook for H2
For the second half of 2026, Giant Group maintains a cautiously optimistic outlook. The company said inventory adjustments in Europe are nearing completion, while the arrival of the traditional peak season and the global rollout of new model-year bikes are supporting demand recovery.
In China, Giant expects demand to continue benefiting from the cycling trend. The company will continue to introduce new products and monitor market conditions in the U.S., where consumer trends remain conservative.
