VisionEdgeOne (VE1) has acquired Swiss bike-sharing operator PubliBike Velospot AG (PubliBike), marking the investment firm's entry into the Swiss bike-sharing market.

CMS, which advised VE1 on the transaction, announced the acquisition on August 6, 2026. VE1 is a European mid-market infrastructure investment firm, and the transaction further expands its investment activities in the European micromobility sector.

Headquartered in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland, PubliBike operates more than 10,000 bikes and e-bikes across 10 Swiss cantons, including Bern, Zurich and Basel. The company has around 50 employees.

The acquisition follows VE1's investment in INURBA Mobility, which has established a presence across Spain, France, Finland, Poland and Hungary.

CMS advised VE1 on all legal aspects of the acquisition.
