Bafang will unveil the production versions of its M510RS and M560RS racing-sport eMTB drive systems at IBF – International Bike Festival 2026, taking place from September 4–6 in Misano, Italy.

The two systems were first presented as concepts at Eurobike 2025. Bafang will showcase the production versions at IBF 2026, with test rides available during the event. According to Bafang, mass production of both systems is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026.

Both RS systems feature a six-axis IMU that combines torque, cadence and wheel-speed data in real time to detect gradients and rider input. They also feature Bafang’s Sport+ adaptive assistance, which provides up to 500% assistance, while the Boost-to-Limit function can deliver up to 800% assistance for short-duration bursts.

According to Bafang, the RS systems offer a 50% faster response and 33% more sensitive power cut-off compared with the standard M510 and M560 systems. Both systems also feature Hill Hold and Walk Assist 2.0.

The M510RS has a peak torque rating of 110 Nm. With Boost-to-Limit, maximum torque increases to 120 Nm at 36V or 130 Nm at 48V. Maximum output is rated at 1,100W at 36V and 1,300W at 48V. The motor weighs 2.9 kg.

The M560RS has a peak torque rating of 120 Nm, with up to 150 Nm available through Boost-to-Limit. Its peak output is rated at 1,700W, while the motor weighs 3.3 kg.
