Specialized founder Mike Sinyard will return as Chief Executive Officer on November 1, 2026, replacing Armin Landgraf, who is stepping down after two years as CEO and four years with the company.

Landgraf joined Specialized in 2022 as Chief of Worldwide Markets and was appointed CEO in 2024. Before joining Specialized, he served as CEO of Pon.Bike from 2015 to 2019 and then became CEO of Canyon, a position he held until the end of 2021.

Landgraf described his departure as a personal decision, saying that leading Specialized had been a tremendous privilege. He expressed pride in what the company had accomplished and gratitude to its teammates, riders, and partners around the world.

Sinyard previously stepped down as Specialized CEO in March 2022 after 48 years in the role, becoming Founder, Chairman, and Chief Rider Advocate. Former Dyson executive Scott Maguire succeeded him as CEO.

After Landgraf was appointed CEO in 2024, Maguire moved to lead Specialized's innovation and technology division before leaving the company in April 2025 to join Swiss running shoe company On.

Commenting on his return, Sinyard said he remains driven by the same passion for supporting riders and retailers. He added that Specialized has always been “a big bike shop at heart” and that he remains committed to making it the best it can be.
