Factor Bikes has introduced the ELARA, a new gravel racing bike designed to combine the precision and handling of a road racing bike with clearance for tires up to 57mm (2.2 inches).

Designed for high-speed gravel racing, the ELARA features geometry derived from Factor’s road platforms. Compared with its predecessor, the bike has a longer reach, reduced trail, and a lower bottom-bracket position, aiming to deliver sharp and responsive handling while maintaining stability over rough gravel courses.

The ELARA uses a true full-carbon monocoque frame, with a painted size-M frame weighing less than 1,100g. Factor states that the ELARA has a 5–8% lower drag coefficient than the OSTRO Gravel. The frame is also designed around torsional stiffness and impact control, with increased stiffness at the bottom-bracket and head-tube junctions compared with its predecessor.

The Factor-engineered carbon fork takes inspiration from the Factor ONE aero fork. Its deeper profile is designed to improve aerodynamics while increasing front-end stiffness.

The ELARA is compatible with both 1x and 2x electronic drivetrains, including SRAM, Shimano, and Campagnolo systems. With a 1x setup, the frame accommodates a 52T chainring and tires up to 57mm wide. With a 2x setup using a front derailleur, tire clearance is up to 47mm.

The geometry features head-tube angles ranging from 71.3 to 71.5 degrees, with a 71.5-degree angle on the size-M frame. Bottom-bracket drop is 80mm, increasing to 82mm on the 49cm and 52cm sizes. Chainstay length ranges from 420mm on smaller sizes to 425mm on larger sizes.

At the front, the ELARA is equipped with the new Black Inc Aero Gravel Bar AB07, a one-piece cockpit with subtle flare, an integrated computer mount, and internal hose routing.

The bike can also be equipped with the Black Inc SIXTY FOUR Gravel wheelset, which combines aerodynamic performance with the ability to accommodate extra-wide tires. Factor lists a minimum tire size of 47mm for the wheelset.

Additional frame features include two bottle mounts inside the main triangle, a top-tube feed port, in-frame storage in the downtube, a T47A internal threaded bottom bracket, and a UDH/direct-mount rear derailleur hanger.

According to Factor, the ELARA began as an update to the OSTRO Gravel before evolving into a complete redesign. Magnus Bak Klaris, winner of the 2025 Gravel Earth Series, provided feedback during development, including the requirement for the option to run 57mm tires front and rear. Factor says this feedback led the engineering team to redesign the bike, with a full prototype ready for race testing within four months.

The ELARA is available in Virescent Blue and Matte Carbon. Factor offers the bike in six sizes from 49cm to 61cm.
