SunRace Sturmey-Archer has introduced a new 48V high-efficiency E-Bike system, combining intelligent automatic shifting, integrated electronics and multiple drive configurations to simplify system integration for bike manufacturers.

A key feature is its automatic 3-speed shifting system, which selects the appropriate gear based on speed, torque and cadence. The three-speed internal gear hub offers gear ratios of 100%, 156% and 198%, paired with a patented electronically controlled E-Shifter for fast, automated gear changes. The system supports either a 250W 48V front hub motor or a rear direct-drive hub motor integrated with the 3-speed IGH, with assisted-speed configurations of 25 km/h or 32 km/h (20 mph).

Power is supplied by a Li-ion Intube battery available in 504Wh or 265Wh capacities. The intelligent controller and BMS are integrated directly into the battery, helping reduce wiring and simplify overall bike architecture. Additional features include CAN bus communication, Bluetooth connectivity, an HMI LCD display with optional lighting support, handlebar remote controls, a 3A smart fast charger capable of low-temperature operation, and an optional E-Lock function.

By integrating the motor, automatic transmission, battery management and electronic controls into a coordinated platform, SunRace aims to provide OEMs with a streamlined E-Bike solution suited to urban, commuting and recreational applications.
